Stonegate Financial, an independent firm, joins from LPL Financial, where they managed more than $146 million in client assets and had annual fees and commissions of $1.1 million.

The team provides financial planning, investment management, retirement strategies and income planning.

Wiles began his career in the investment industry in 1999. He was affiliated with Federated Securities, Edward Jones and LPL Financial prior to joining Raymond James.

Smith is also latterly of LPL Financial, having previously worked at Securian Financial Services. He began his career in 2005 at an independent financial planning firm.

Meanwhile, joining Wiles and Smith are Becky Wiles, office manager, and Heather Monzote, administrative assistant.
